Cryopump & Compressor Repair Service

PTB Sales cryopump service offers the highest level of replacement parts in the industry. Each cryopump has rebuilt internals that are fully tested prior to reassembly of the complete pump. Our final test covers complete cycles as close to the production environment as possible.

Vacuum Side Carbon array and indium are replaced 80K array is given a new nickel plate Radiation shield is refinished Parts are cleaned and baked out He leak checked to 1x10-8 cc/s Helium Circuit Bearings, O-rings, seals and springs are replaced 1st and 2nd stage displacers are rebuilt Displacer motor is regaussed

Testing Pump is charged with ultra pure helium and tested over a 24 hour period Regeneration cycle is run to test cool down time On-Board electronics are tested Pumps are tagged to reflect work done and test data

Cryo Compressor Rebuilds

Cryo compressors are also rebuilt to exacting standards. We perform the following:

• Replacement of valves and adsorber
• Replacement of marginal mechanical and electronic parts (extra charge, requires customer approval)
• Change oil
• Recharge with ultra pure helium
• Clean helium lines
• Helium leak sniff compressor, lines and fittings
