Vane Pump Repair Service

We provide two types of rebuilding service: a maintenance rebuild (minor) and a complete rebuild (major) on all rotary vane pumps. Most other pump rebuilders offer minor rebuilding services only.

Minor Rebuilding Service

In a minor rebuild the outer shaft seal, sleeve, O-rings and gaskets are replaced. However, the module is flushed with oil, but not rebuilt. This rebuild is less costly and may be appropriate depending on the condition of the pump.

Most manufacturers recommend a minor rebuild every six months to extend the life of your pump (more often if there is process related buildup). A minor rebuild comes with a 90 day parts and labor warranty.

Major Rebuilding Service

• Complete teardown
• Chrome oxide coating of sealing surfaces for worn shafts (increases life of seals)
• Complete cleaning and degreasing of parts
• Replacement of marginal parts (extra charge, requires customer approval)
• Use of only highest quality components
• Total replacement of seals, gaskets, valves, O-rings, springs and vanes
• Pump is tested over a 24 hour period
• Painting and tagging to reflect work done and test data (base pressure, temperature, motor amps and time tested)

The procedure for single and two stage oil sealed rotary vane pumps is the same.
